ABOUT US

Delshan Farah.JPG
Since 2016, we have been supporting people and communities in need. While the projects initially focused on promoting the mental health and social integration of refugees within Germany, we were also quickly able to put our special expertise in this area to good use abroad. In Germany, we were already able to implement projects in Berlin, Hesse, Baden-Württemberg, Brandenburg, North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate. Outside Germany, we have already effectively supported people in need in Israel, Greece, and Spain as well as in Ukraine in coping with their respective emergency situations.

ORIGIN
IsraAID Germany e. V. connects relief, rehabilitation and empowerment processes through the symbiosis of 1. Intercultural psychosocial support in different languages, 2. Empowerment and integration work and 3. Relief operations, implemented by a multicultural and multi-professional team. In our humanitarian aid, we are fundamentally guided by the principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality and independence.

OUR WORK

IsraAID Germany e. V. provides emergency aid in humanitarian crises, such as the flood disaster in Germany in 2021 or the outbreak of war in Ukraine. However, these crises often develop into long-term emergency situations. People who have had to leave their homes due to such disasters, wars and conflicts often live in emergency shelters for years and face an uncertain future. These people all have something in common: after a traumatic event that has shattered their lives, they are looking for a return to a normal, healthy and, above all, safe and secure life.

This is where, IsraAID Germany provides various forms of support, from emergency aid directly after a major disaster up to the longer-term, future-oriented promotion of social inclusion and participation in the country in which they are seeking shelter.
